One Lord

"Human body is the temple of the living God,
Worship the almighty by respecting one another..."

Hello, Namaskar or Salam.. these words sound so different yet mean the same, just like the religions they are spoken in. Each of us may have lots of diverse definitions in our minds regarding this topic, 'Religion,' and as for me, I believe religion to be a ray of hope to enlighten us in the dark times, a code to live by or a way to shape our lives. Its aspects may vary from clothing to food and from rituals to customs. I visualize religion as something sacred, pure and spiritual. Something that cleanses our soul and uplifts the spirit. Religions teach us values and morals, and in the end, each holy book has the message to live and let live in peace love and harmony. We may have diverse perceptions of the lord we worship, however, there is one supreme power who guides us all and it's all about what we choose to believe in.

It is tragic to witness how religion has taken a violent meaning and is considered a controversial subject to broach. It has been costing the world millions of innocent lives that are caught amidst petty riots between communities. Wars on religion have been an issue that is centuries old So today, we stand here with a choice- Either to go on with the bloodshed or to make the world a better, united place.
God is with us and within us.
Believe, live and let live.
